REAL ESTATE

Real Estate is assessed at $0.12 per $100 of assessed value for tax purposes. Real Estate tax is doe annually on December 05 for the current year.  A late fee is added after the due date.

Taxes can be paid by mail or in person at the Town Hall. Payment may be made with cash or personal checks. Credit cards are not accepted. Checks should be made out to "Town of Wachapreague". 

Note:  Residents are also required to pay Accomack County Real Estate tax which will be billed by the county.

PERSONAL PROPERTY

The Town of Wachapreague does not charge tax on personal property. Taxes are charged on personal property registered in Accomack County.
